Representation of the report: Protection of Patients’ Rights – equal for all Patients

After successful completion of the project „ Protector of patients’ rights-equal rights for all patients“, supported by Fund for an open society, Law Scanner team represented the report „Protection of patients’ rights-equal for all patients“.

The representatives of some health centres and hospitals involved within the projected, NGO representatives, professional public, as well as media attended this representation. The report which represents the results of monitoring conducted by Law Scanner team in Kolubara and Mačva region, as well as Zvezdara municipality, consists of two parts. The first part refers to monitoring of Protector of patients’ rights work in medical centres and hospitals within the project, where as the second part refers to evaluation of health care of Roma population. The analysis of health care of Roma was conducted in cooperation with Roma organization (Roma center for democracy Valjevo, Roma society from Bogatić and Little prince from Belgrade),which took part in visiting Roma settlements in these regions.

The representation of report was held in Valjevo 23.05.2012 in Grand hotel and in Belgrade 29.05.2012 in Media center. A lot of representatives of NGO and media attended the representation where as most of the Protectors of patients’ rights and Directors of medical facilities were not interested to become acquainted with the recommendations and conclusions given by Law Scanner team after the implementation of the Project.

The speakers at the conference were Marina Mijatović the Director of Law Scanner, Vojislav Bajić, Tamara Magdelinić, Marija Kostić and Jovana Vujnović associates of Law Scanner, Branko Kokić from organization Roma society from Bogatić and Radosav (prezime) from Roma center for democracy from Valjevo.
